If you are involved in a railway accident or subjected to violence, your first priority is safety—your second is your legal security. Follow this order of priority:

  1. Summon technical assistance

    • Call the operations center/FC/control room immediately
    • Provide train number and location
    • Describe briefly and precisely what has happened

  2. Call the danish railway union at +45 70 20 36 13

    The emergency service is your lifeline. We help you navigate interactions with authorities (police and the accident investigation board) and ensure you do not stand alone.

  3. Know your rights (critical!)

    In the chaotic minutes following an incident, the risk of saying something that could be misunderstood or used against you is very high.
    • Provide only your name and job title/CPR number
    • Do not give statements to the police or the accident investigation board until you have spoken with the union
    • You have the right to compose yourself before providing a detailed explanation
    • The union provides an observer or lawyer to ensure fair treatment throughout the entire process
